Development Team Careers

Panamint Capital’s Development team manages our portfolio of development-stage energy transition opportunities. The Development team is responsible for all aspects of project development  including technology selection, site control, permitting, interconnection, project bids and power marketing, and engineering and procurement. In addition, the Development team works closely with the Investment team on power marketing, financing and development strategy and with the Asset Management team on transitioning assets from development to construction and operation.

Key Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record developing conventional or renewable energy assets in North America, and managing those assets through the entire project lifecycle; 

  • Direct experience negotiating and managing key development and construction agreements and processes, including major equipment procurement; 

  • Direct experience contracting and managing external vendors and consultants;

  • Direct experience conducting site feasibility analysis, including resource evaluation, constructability, transmission and interconnection and cost estimation; 

  • Background in utility and RTO/ISO regulation and power buyer strategy, including understanding of integrated resource plans, interconnection tariff amendments, utility and corporate customer procurement and an understanding of the major components of the Inflation Reduction Act of 2023 ;

  • Contract management experience, including reporting, enforcing and amending or renegotiating major project contracts.

  • Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university; graduate degree in a relevant discpline preferred.
